Book 25: The Picture of Dorian Gray
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde is one of my favorite books to read. I absolutely love it. I first read it in high school during my senior year, then wrote it down on this challenge list so that I would read it again. Well, I ended up reading it for a class as well this past semester. Reading this book a second time, only made my love for it even stronger. I can't tell you exactly what it is about this book that hooks me, enthralls me, but it's probably a combination between the amazing, fast-paced, original plot, the excellent, attention-grabbing writing, and the delicious characters. I love devouring all of their striking qualities. I am sure this is a book that I will continue to pick up again and again and I am fairly certain that I will include it within my curriculum if I get upper level students.
