Updates, Goals, and Resolutions

Jan 03, 2010 19:28

Updates, updates, updates. Gah. I'm so tired of updates. I'm still reading Jane Eyre and PUSH, but I've changed some things. I gave up on A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf. I know, I know, I gave up on her Orlando as well, but I just can't do it. Not now anyway. I've deleted the Sherlock Holmes collection (even though the movie is absolutely amazing), and I also took out something else that I can't quite remember. I added Becoming Jane Eyre by Sheila Kohler and Becoming Jane Austen by Jon Spence. I'll post my list at the end of this entry. I'm about half way through PUSH and it shouldn't take me much longer. I only have eight more chapters to go in Jane Eyre, which is really exciting for me. FINALLY! I started that before I left for college last semester...which was back in August! I have a lot of reading to do as well for classes and a lot of the books are different, but I really don't want to make anymore changes. This really just isn't working out how I thought it would *sad face*. My biggest distraction: Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. WARNING: STAY AWAY.

Now, I'm setting some goals for myself because it's a goal-setting time of the year:
1. Finish Jane Eyre by Wednesday, January 6
2. Finish PUSH by Friday, January 8
3. Start The Time Traveler's Wife before I leave for school on Sunday, January 10
4. Finish The Time Traveler's Wife by Sunday, January 24

Now for my resolutions for the year 2010:
1. Lose 30-40 lbs. Yes, I am overweight by about 25 lbs, so this is completely healthy. I figured I can swing it by losing on average 3 lbs. per month.
2. Visit the gym more.
3. Eat healthier--specifically: less salt, sugar, caffiene, white carbs.
4. Become a better student. (I'm already getting A's and B's, so this isn't top priority.)
5. Live at a slower pace. (I'm so tired of anxiety attacks.)
