The Difference of a Few Days
This ride home was so different from the one on Tuesday. Tuesday I was trying to come to terms with the idea that my brother may not wake up. I cried a lot.
Yesterday I was thinking about how different he might be when he wakes up. He might not ever be the same person, but I'll still have my brother. I worried a bit, but I tried to be realistic about possibilities. It was a radically different trip.
He's doing so well, especially considering it's been just over a week since all of this happened.
