Admin: Basic Rules

Hi everyone! I can’t wait to see everyone posting and/or linking to great communities based on book fandoms. (No pressure, really…even if I love it beyond all things and tend to believe the world revolves around me…but don’t worry yourself if you’re not inclined to write some. Hee.)

Anyway, a few things just to be clear:

1) Feel free to post old stories of yours that were written for any book fandoms. I’m hoping to make this a one-stop place where people can find good fic for any book** that exists. So the more stories posted/linked, the more reading to be done.

2) On that note, feel free to post more than one past story at a time. I’m a pretty whatever girl myself so long as they are properly cut-tagged, I have no issues. But please take into consideration your fellow members. Just think about, “How many posts in one day would it take to annoy me?” and go with that. I’m sorry I can’t be more concrete than that - personally it doesn’t bother me, but it might bother some. So will take that one as it goes.

3) Archiving: I’m utilizing both the tags and memories functions for the community to archive all the stories posted. Currently, I have it set up based on first letter of the book's name (excluding "an" "a" or "the") for all books** and once a book shows up at least two times, I'll create a tag for the specific book or book series. If you have a better idea, please feel free to share it with me. I’m up for any ideas to make it as easy to peruse as possible. For now though, I'll just follow the format that I use at moviefanfiction.

4) Reccing Posts: Totally allowed so long as it’s for stories based on book fandoms and/or crossed over with book fandoms. Please put them behind a cut-tag or with a link to your journal entry. Also, please make sure that it’s a good link for the story and that the story isn’t friends locked. It really sucks to get excited about a story to not be able to access it.

5) Writing Challenges: Feel free to pimp any writing challenges that involves book fandoms one time. I’m all for getting more book fanfiction written, but I don’t want to spam people’s friends lists either.

6) Monthly Prompts: Once a month, a prompt will be posted for people to write fanfiction based in any book fandom. It's just to get the ideas flowing. This is not required to post/join/watch this community.

7) Posting Guidelines: This can also be found on the profile page for the community, but please use the general template for posting fic.

SUBJECT: Title (Rating) by author - Book Fandom (example: Sunset (PG) by Tommygirl - Outsiders)

Title:
Author:
Fandom:
Rating: (since this is open to anyone, ratings are a must)
Any Warnings: (character death, incest, noncon, spoilers if it's a new movie, etc.)
Summary:
Any Author's Notes:

The actual story can be posted under a cut tag or you can post a link to your journal. Either is acceptable.

** If you know an author doesn't want fanfiction for their works, please don't post it. I know I say I want this to be a complete archive, but I also want to respect the wishes are original authors. It's their works, so their say, even if I disagree.

That’s about it. Enjoy the community. Let us know if you have any suggestions/complaints/random thoughts.
