What an experience!

OMG,  one of the worst things that could possibly happen while dog sitting happened to me today! You know I worked the Spurs game last night and got home like at 1am and was in bed around 2am. This morning Bando (the Mastiff) was sleeping with me and around 6am he quickly hopped from the bed and ran downstairs. So I just rolled over and went back to sleep. Minutes later Bando and Bella (the husky) came into the bedroom. Bella was acting really strange, so I i got outta bed, put my glasses on, turned on the light and took a look at her. She had tons of these thorn looking things in her chest, neck, legs, mouth, face areas and was clearly in pain and suffering. Of course, like most "children' I called my mom who said to call their owners. And this is like 6am. So I called the owners, while I was in tears, and told them what was going on and that I needed to take her to the vet. But at 6am, their vet wasn't open yet, and it was fairly far away, but luckily there's an emergency vet hospital on Sontera by Reagan. So in my PJs, with my hair sticking up lol, I took her to the vet. Apparently it wasn't thorns, it was quills from a porcupine, yes a porcupine. I sat there in the waiting room for almost 2 hrs. They had to put her out to take out all the quills. There was apparently around 100. Can you imagine having to deal with something like that?! The owners were really greatful to have me babysitting them. The only good thing that came outta this was that I learned how sweet Bando is. Before we left, he was looking at Bella, then looking at me with a look that said "Holly, please help her!" Then when Bella and I got home, he licked her face like making sure she was okay. Bella's pretty territorial so I'm guessing, based on what I know about Bella's "personality," that she saw the porcupine in her yard and ran after it to attack it and get it outta her yard. Luckily neither of the other 2 dogs or cat got hurt.
