Good Idea, but not executed well.

Gods Behaving Badly by Marie Phillips.

I picked this book up with expectations. I had been told it was humorous and quite a good light read. It was, indeed, just that. I had just finished reading "The Gathering Storm" by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson, so a light read was what I was wanting! Unfortunately, this was a poor choice. The writing had a rushed feel to it. The characters were poorly written with absolutely no depth to them. The writer just plopped people in the story without elaborating anything about them. Just over-emphasized their godly personalities. (Ares was always ranting about starting wars in Asia.) The idea of the story was actually good, I was intrigued. I think it was just done by the wrong person.

character development fail, author last names m-s, there is a plot where somewhere
