o.O Well, that's an expression of the frustration most people feel upon reading Romeo and Juliet, I think...(I love how Romeo's just lying there while they talk).
Melanie didn't see any flaws in anyone - or at least, not that she was willing to acknowledge aloud.
Scarlett does end up paying for her self-centeredness, but she didn't have the patience to play all the ladylike games demanded of the ladies like Mrs Merryweather and Mrs Meade. She survived when a lot of people lay down, but as Grandma Fontaine tells her, she needs to know how to be kind sometimes. Still, part of me has to admire the girl (and she is very much a girl, not a mature woman, at times) who makes a dress out of her mother's curtains and goes to save her family the only way she knows how.
