I fell in love with this video game. It is by far one of the greatest ones I have played. I love how it can be a little different each time you play. I was hoping the books written by David Gaider, head writer or the Dragon Age video game would follow suit in the greatness. I was greatly disappointed.
King Maric's mother, known as "The Rebel Queen" was killed by the Orlesian usurpers. It's a story about he he faced his responsibilities as the new King of Ferelden and overcame the Orlesians. Aided by his Fiance Rowan and a fierce fighter named Logain, Maric sets out to take back his throne.
There are so many typos in this book, I was wondering why the editor was still in a job. The plot was there, the story was there. It had potential, but it moved at barely a snails pace. When it did pick up you were lost on everything that happened. I was making my way through a long description about the camp and the arguements between Logain and Maric and suddenly Logain drops a line about how they been there for three years. Which leaves me baffled because there is no place where you get that sense that ANY time has passed at all.
David Gaider needs to stick with video game writing and leave it at that.
