So I'm an American living overseas at the moment, and one of the things that is driving me crazy is the lack of reading material in English. It's enough to make a woman buy a British version of 'Glamour' magazine for ten bucks. I've been thinking about buying a Kindle, and I'm wondering if anyone on here has one and can give me their opinion on it.
Kindles: Awesome technological tools or giant wastes of money?
Also, I've read that they're PDF compatible; does that mean ANY PDF or only PDFs from Amazon? I ask because I have a digital subscription to one of my favorite magazines and as part of it I can download a PDF version. Would I be able to put that on a Kindle?
