Hey there! My names Starry Surrender, and I read a hell of a lot. I like knowing that I'm not the only one that finds books that totally fail! When I complain to people about them however, they've either never heard of the title, complain I'm being too picky, or just decide they really can't be bothered to listen. I appreciate finding this so I can rant to similar minded people.
Do y'know what really annoys me? When films are then translated into books, especially High School Musical! What is the point?! I even read the first couple of pages of one, and wanted to kill myself. The opening chapter was describing how Troy Bolton was very sweaty but still managed to attract the attention of the whole cheer leading squad. Am I interested? No. I think that these books shouldn't be allowed, as they are poorly, and hastily, written, and a bad example to children who are reading them. The film is bad enough, but I understand how the tween's are attracted to them, and I can tolerate them. But I think having them in my school library is a joke!
Sorry, rant over.
