Egypt- Day 1- Manchester

So....we've made it safely to Manchester, and our hotel. It was a bit touch and go (why don't they believe in signage over here?! is it a religious thing or what?!) cause we had trouble finding the transfer coach from the train/airport to the hotel. Tomorrow we're getting the Taxi. Plus, the taxi driver who took me to the Durham train station with the bag (Brad decided to walk and stop by the ATM) informed me that Manchester had gotten a ton of snow, and the airport was closed. So we spent the whole train ride freaking out, worried that we wouldn't be able to get a plane out tomorrow to Luxor. But, I just checked, and apparently they re-opened the airport this afternoon, and it should be fine. So, tomorrow morning we fly out at 9:30am. Still have no idea if there'll be wi-fi available, so updates may be spotty.

The hotel is nice, but because of the snow it's short-staffed, so the restaurant was buffet only. For which they charged us £27, and we had to drink water. On the plus side, we've got a jacuzi-tub in the room (the receptionist mumbled something about upgrading us, but didn't say why) so I think I'm off to have a bath and relax before we do the next stressful part. Much as I love seeing new places, I despise traveling. It is so incredibly stressful!
