Gah! The first day of “spring break” has come and gone. I’m quite sad. I didn’t even get time to prep for it, because I didn’t get to Carleton from SHU until midnight (aka Friday morning). I tried working on the philosophy that was due Thursday by midnight, but I was way too tired. I got one question answered and about 10 pages read in an hour and a half. Wasn’t too happy with myself. I went to bed around 2:30am which was pretty early, but I just felt so tired. I ended up lying in bed until around 4am. That’s the last thing I remember the clock saying. I woke up at 4:45am cause I had asked Dad to come see me before he went to work, and he did. I went back to sleep for about 25 minutes and the alarm went off. (Had to take Grace to school and get my day started).
Got dressed blah blah. Took her in and went to talk to Savel about the music for the Symphony. I sat in the office for about 25 minutes before I decided I couldn’t wait any longer. I was in the car ready to pull out of the parking space when Gribble pulled in front of the car in his truck. He held his hands up like “What’s up” --the kind people do when they’re ready to fight-his was more of a “Where do you think you’re going”…he mouthed the words to me. So I opened the door knowing exactly what he thought. He rolled down the window and said “..And where do you think you’re going?” To which I replied “Hey How ya doin? I’m going home because I don’t have to be here.” The latter part I admit to saying kind of snippy just because that man severely irritates me (among other reasons). After like a 10second pause, he was just like “Well why were you here?” I told him why and he just pulled off. He sooooo thought I was Grace trying to skip hahahaha. (The parking pass was hanging on the rearview mirror b/c I didn’t want one of those damn orange stickers, or to have to park in front of the school and have to walk through all the people to get to the band room) That really cracked me up. I was half tempted to run in the school and tell Grace, then have her leave with me.
Anyways. The first day of “vacation” I went into Monroe and did 2 hours of observation in the court (plus got another nice walk going to and from the parking lot at St. Mary’s), returned all of my library books (yay!), took care of dry cleaning for dad, then mom and I went to see Papa/clean. It was a pretty ok day. I really missed Papa. Oh…and he cooked. Hamburgers, hot dogs, homemade fries, and chili. It was freaking amazing. While I cleaned, I played I Spy with Levi. That was entertaining. Oh, and the Rottweiler papa got, is awesome. I’m so glad he has another dog. Ok…Mom has asked me to help her with her hair.
