Update.
So the 1st week of school is officially over. Technically, I'm supposed to be in class until 6pm tonight, but we got out early. I'm stoked that Ann Lauderdale is the replacement prof. I'm even more stoked about this semester. It's really going to help me determine if my post-grad preliminary plans are what I want to pursue.
A little rundown for anyone who cares. My schedule is pretty much wonderful. If I hadn't of taken this Online class, I could probably get myself ahead of schedule in classes. Figures the one time that's an option I get a class that has a professor who was one of the first to do online courses. We have to read 500pgs by Tuesday. Oh, it's philosophy. Yeah....that class will be taking up any "free-time" I thought I had.
So Ann's class is Social Welfare Policy. Loving it so far. It's all girls, which is kind of odd. On MW I have Piano. I LOVE THAT CLASS!! I'm so glad to be getting back to my "music roots", if you will. It's probably going to be the hardest class for me mentally (yeah go figure right, intro to piano is the hardest) because 1) I have to learn bass clef, which most people know I'm anti-bass lol. 2) I have to learn to play w/2 hands!! 99.9% of the time I used one hand, and really only 3 fingers if you don't count the rare slide movement for E-flat or using the pinky and thumb to hold up the horn lol. Oh, and those piano benches!! AHHHH. I mastered slouching in "posture chairs" and now it has come back to bite me in the ass.
Umm T/TH are my busy days. Public Policy w/Tim again. Loving it so far, as always. I'm really learing a lot already. We have 3 HUGE assignments. No tests this term. Figures lol. I'm really going to have to bust ass. Juvenile Justice w/Elly. Love that one too. Even if it's just b/c Elly's teaching it. I think I'll learn a thing or two lol. Tues. nights is Substance Abuse. This class has potential. However, it will probably be my least favorite. We were only there for an 1 1/2 hrs. and I wanted to cry I was so bored. Substance Abuse will require a lot of work that I haven't decided whether I'm looking forward to lol. Thurs. nights I have Courtroom Demeanor and Evidence Techniques w/Judge Noe. OMG!!! I am really going to try to get on her good side. She was giving us her lil intro speech telling about herself. 26 years prosectuor. Had her own firm, now she's a judge. Uh!! We have to do a lot of courtroom observing, which I should do anyways, and she said that she would like let us come in and see bargaining and some behind the scenes stuff. I learned so much in her class the first night, and it wasn't boring either. I'm stoked for that one. Going to be a hell of a lot of work too. Then there's Ann's class. Only meets 4 times. On Saturdays. 9-6. Yup alllllll day. Oh well. I've got a big start (I think at least) on one of our major presentations that she slipped in must be done in front of the University and the accredidation board. Figures I take this class when the University's certificate is up for renewal. Oh well. Just going to have to go shopping!! haha.
Ohhh. Lets see. Quick update on the social life. Haven't had too much of one. Chit chat with people around here and there. Nothing major. I wanted to enjoy the opportunities I had to relax. Talked to Lance a whole 4 times this week. Shocking. Again the laughter. Loving it. He came out last night for a few hours after work. We played Dirty Minds. I won. haha. Payback for his little online pool thing. Yeah, I've never played and it's nothing like real pool.
Ok. I have energy so I think I'm going to take advantage of it and get some homework done.
