And now have actually watched Heroes and.
I . . . that was so insane I'm not sure I can even muster up any opinions, just laughter.
Okay, in an attempt to sort out thoughts character by character, because that's basically what I watch the show for now that plot coherency has gone out the window -
Niki/Tracey: Not dead, apparently competent, and a whole lot better than Gina. I'll take it, I guess. Bonus points in the hopes that she will actually get to control her powers this time! (I know. Hope springs eternal.)
Mohinder and Maya: I hate the plotline with a passion but I can't help cracking up because I am 99% sure that the entire point of it is shirtless-Mohinder fanservice.
Nathan: IT'S STEPFORD NATHAN WITH A HEAD!LINDERMAN. I could not do anything but laugh through all these scenes.
Matt: Is apparently in unabashed wacky-land, which would be fine (I don't mind if he spends episodes talking to turtles, I am easily amused) except for what's undoubtedly coming. Let's see how badly the show screws up Africa! *cheerful*
Hiro and Ando: I am mostly okay with how they are doing it so far, but I am eyeing that plotline warily . . . no break-ups!
Peter: The dueling-future-visions of Peter and Angela could be really cool if both of them were competent, but, um, Peter is not a worthy opponent, as evidenced by his five million acts of insane dumbassery.
Angela: Just keep her ambiguous and competent, that's all I ask.
The Long-Lost Petrelli Brother: HAHAHAHAHAHA
Elle: I am very interested to see where her storyline will go now. (I actually totally thought Angela was going to pull a parental reveal on her. And on this show I am still not ruling it out!)
Claire: Oh writers. You have been reading criticism, haven't you? And yet . . . putting words in Claire's mouth is not the same as doing anything about it. Also I am so tired of the emo. However:
Sandra Bennet and Meredith: OH PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS BE TEAM AWESOME PLEASE. (You won't, show, I know you won't, you will shatter my dreams again, but. But but but!)
(Escaped villains, by the way: I have zero interest. Sorry, Francis Capra.)
