I don't know if we're still doing the "pimp your nominations" thing, but I just wanted to give a few deets on the books I chose.

All You Need Is Kill is the (loose, from what I understand) foundation for the movie Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt

High Rise is currently being made into a movie starring Tom Hiddleston and others

And The Girl with All the Gifts supposedly has a horror element for those of you that wanted to read that genre, too.

A book with horror elements?! SOLD! :)

The Girl with All the Gifts has been getting a little bit of buzz, so hopefully it doesn't suck. XD

I probably will read it sooner or later, too, just b/c a friend of mine who has read it informs me that there is a female engineer in it, which is pretty darn rare. (She was not really impressed with the Cruise movie on some levels.)

Also, there is a manga, but I don't know which one came first or if there is any difference in the story between the book and the manga.

I'm pretty sure the novel came first :)

Yes, you are correct! (Looks like it's a direct adaptation of the book from reviewer comments.)
