State of the Me

There are two new denizens of our household! A small one-eyed tortie named Mango Margot, dammit, sorry, and a tuxedo named Donna. They are sweet, lovely, purrbox cats, and so of course my buttface hates them with a fiery passion. He hasn't even met them yet, he has only smelled them, and he is filled with HATRED. He'll probably remain filled with hatred until he realizes that a) he outweighs them both together and b) he'll always be my favorite kitty ever and he does not have to share my affections.

Cats, man.

But the new babies are really very sweet. Pictures as soon as I get my act together and take them.

Also, I called out sick on Friday (because I was) and now I'm having nightmares about being kicked out of high school because I was out sick for one day. DO YOU THINK MY LAST JOB GAVE ME A COMPLEX OR SOMETHING.

Nikki is my porn-enabling platonic life partner, and on that note, there is probably some filthy smut headed your way in the not too distant future, Internets. I hope you can bring yourself to accept that.

Now back to reading my inter-library loans before they must go back to the library. Oh, and Good Omens, for my book club (as if you need a reason to read Good Omens). And the new JD Robb book because. And some stuff on schizophrenia for research.* And Library Wars because a kid at the teen group I help run at work recommended it to me. And The Warmth of Other Suns because it's Black History Month. And I Am Malala for my other book group. And Rey's Survival Guide and Heir to the Empire because STAR WARS, NOTHING BUT STAR WARS, GIVE ME THAT STAR WARS, DON'T LET IT END. And Color because that's a nifty book. And the Name of the Rose because Umberto Eco just died, mayherestinpeace. And Falling In Love with Hominids because it's overdue and also Nalo Hopkinson. And a queer romance graphic novel anthology, because does that really need a reason. And The Witches because it's also Women's History Month.

I may be reading a lot of things.
