This is a short little book, more like an essay, adapted from Adichie's TED talk of the same name, and I gotta say, it is so very much worth the read. It's short enough that you can get through it in a couple of hours, and the message is so important. Adichie discusses institutionalized sexism against women across the world, from the overt "stay in the kitchen" to the more subtle microaggressions we face every ady. Adichie also briefly explores intersectional feminism and how important it is, before returning to her main theme: that pitting men and women against one another harms both.
Adichie draws many parallels to her own life, so if you have suffered displays of sexism and don't particularly want to read about yet another woman dealing with them, maybe not the book for you. Generally, though, I think it should be required reading. Especially for cis men.
