Banned Books Week is coming up! As you may or may not know, I read banned books during the month of October, even though Banned Books Week is actually the last full week of September. What I need from you, o readers, is suggestions! What banned books should I read this year?
Books I'm considering: The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, For Whom the Bell Tolls (even though I hate Hemingway) (this is one of those books I feel I should read), Howl, The Grapes of Wrath, The Invisible Man, In Cold Blood, The Jungle, Leaves of Grass, Stranger in a Strange Land, The Red Badge of Courage, and Uncle Tom's Cabin.
Books I would like suggested: Books by ladies.
I'm only going to read ten, so thoughts on the ones I'm considering are also welcome.
