I just finished reading I Don't Want To Be Crazy, by Samantha Schutz, and Jesus is it ever accurate. It's a prose-poem memoir chronicling Schutz's struggle with anxiety disorder. Every poem felt like "oh god that's me, I've lived that, oh my god." So, yeah, if you ever wanted to know what it's like to live with anxiety, read this book. You'll understand.
That said, I'm not sure that it's a good book necessarily. Schutz makes use of the prose-poem style popularized by Ellen Hopkins and Karen Hesse, which I've never really been fond of, and I feel like this book would have benefited from simply being treated as prose. No need to change any of the words, just the formatting. Still, it's a fast read, and an accurate one, and one I'd recommend if you've never had a panic attack or experienced severe anxiety.
If you have, of course, you'll know all this already.
