You know I love your books. You know I love them like candy. You know also that I love the way that you talk about family, because it lines up so perfectly with my own thoughts on the matter.
So I love your ...In Death books. Really. Really, I do. I love Eve and Roarke, I love their romance, I love the mysteries, I love the non-graphic descriptions of murder and the way that the dead aren't always women (ahem, certain mystery writers), I love the way that Eve "stands for the dead." I love Peabody, too. Have I mentioned that I love Peabody? Because she's one hell of a BAMF. Go Peabody. <33333
However, I have an eensy-weensy-teeny-tiny nitpick.
ROARKE FFS YOU MARRIED A COP. For the love of God stop getting pissed at her for not trusting you when she's only trying to prove that you or someone you love didn't do it. She's not doubting you or your word, she's said explicitly that she does trust you didn't do it, she is doing her goddamn job. It is not about trust, it is not about love, it is about proof and evidence. So get off your high horse and stop being such an idiot or I swear to God I will reach through the screen and slap you silly.
