1. I work fifteen hours a week as a page at my local library. It is the best job I have ever had, hands-down; I love the work and I love my coworkers and I never want to leave.
2. Too bad, because in March I'm moving out to California to live with my bestest best friend ever, the sister of my heart. She was visiting the last two weeks, hence lack of blogging. Anyway, I call her saati here.
3. I am a soap junkie. I'm not talking, like, Irish Spring: I love love love handmade soaps and will buy them wherever I can. The last ones I got were from
Matri Bath and Body. I can particularly recommend the Rose Tyler and the Kamael Goat's Milk.
4. I also love tea. A LOT. There is A LOT of tea in my house. A LOT. Ask
justice_turtle and
shadowsong26 if you don't believe me. My most favorite recently is a jasmine/chamomile mix I drink before going to bed-- sparingly, though, because I bought it in Estonia and I don't know where to find it in the US yet.
5. I love horses too. I have over three hundred model horses of one kind or another (one from every country I've ever visited, too), and when I hit one thousand I'm calling Guinness. They all have their own names. I remember every one.
6. I consider myself an asexual lesbian (llllllllladies) but I would go straight for Jeremy Renner.
7. I want to be Tamora Pierce when I grow up, only with a female Spouse-Creature. Alternately, Seanan McGuire. Or Jane Austen. Decisions.
8. I have been hugged by Sir Terry Pratchett. I was twelve. It was a magical experience.
9. Apart from my saati, shadowsong and some of our mutual friends, every single one of my closest friends is someone I met online.
10. I am possibly addicted to books. There are worse things to be addicted to, IMO. I have a very large personal library and I max out my library card way too often.
11. As far as music goes, there is literally nothing I won't listen to at least once, but my Forever Girls of music are Vienna Teng, Dar Williams, and Seanan McGuire (her again! She's multi-talented).
12. If I were to pick one My Little Pony who best exemplifies me, it'd be Twilight Sparkle. If I were to pick one I'd like to be like, Pinkie Pie. If I were to pick one I love dearly, Fluttershy. If I were to pick one who is the queen of my heart forever, Rarity. Applejack and Rainbow Dash I don't feel so strongly about, but note that this is like saying "of these adorable kittens climbing on me and purring and rubbing their heads against me, this one is my least favorite."
13. I play on the swings a lot. Actual five-year-old.
14. My dad once gave me a Dalek made out of construction supplies. I call him Dalek Bob. He sits on my shelves and threatens people who attempt to take books without asking.
15. I am a huge proponent of "your kink is not kink but your kink is okay," "your OTP is not my OTP but your OTP is okay," and "your opinion is not my opinion but your opinion is okay." Although there are some opinions that are not okay and will never be okay, which brings me to the next fact.
16. Politically speaking, I am a lily-livered bleeding heart liberal egghead Communist. I believe in the radical fact that all people are equal, regardless of race, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender, physical or mental ability, class, or whatever people have come up with to oppress other people lately, and that we should all be treated that way. I believe that safe and accessible abortion is a fundamental human right. I believe that poor people deserve everything that rich people have. I believe that I am human and falliable, but it is my responsibility as a decent human being to apologize for my fuckups and try to be better. Speaking of, if I fuck up, please tell me so ASAP. I promise the first thing you will hear from me is "Oh shit, I'm sorry" or some variation thereof.
17. Hahaha, that was like six facts and all of them heavy. Um. I'm generally very non-confrontational and prefer to hold other people's flowers. I got your flower, bb, go get 'em.
18. I am mentally ill. I live with chronic major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I manage both. Unsolicited advice on dealing with either will get you a Look (though it is perfectly fine to ask if I want advice). Repeated attempts to tell me how to deal with or talk about my illnesses will probably get you defriended. Just a heads up. On the other hand, if you want to talk about being mentally ill? Drop me a comment or a PM. I got your back.
19. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs for personal reasons. I still believe marijuana should be legal, and I still am perfectly capable of acting extremely drunk. SUGAR AND TWO AM WOOOOOO.
20. Talk smack about me, I'm likely to just shrug and move on. Talk smack about my friends, YOU GOT 99 PROBLEMS AND THEY'RE ALL ME.
Any questions?
