Yay. I'm done. I emailed in my last paper yesterday.
I got a B on my GOV 2001 paper, and a B+ for the class, which I'm ok-ish with. I'd hoped that would be an A-, but hey, such is life. And I improved on my GOV 2000 grade, and, most importantly, I DID NOT FAIL.
When emailing in my last paper yesterday, for my MIT class, I sent this email, feeling bold:
Hi (Awesome MIT professor),
My literature review for this semester is attached. I really enjoyed
the class this term and learned a lot.
If you need an RA at any time this summer, or next year, I'm certainly
interested. I'm in Cambridge this summer.
Again, thanks, and enjoy the nice weather!
Best,
(Me)
I recieved this reply:
Emily,
It was great having you in class too. Let me check my budget. I may be
able to hire you this summer and it would be good to work together in the
future.

CAN WE SAY HELL YES?!?!?!?! Honestly, I needed this ego boost like whoa, and this just makes me feel so darn good.
I'm off to do a bit of shopping with my birthday money from the grandparents. I already bought the Timbuk2 tote bag I had been lusting after (so so so good, so glad I did), and now I need new capri pants and sandals.
Yay.
