Title: A Trapeze Artist (of Body and Blood)
Challenge: Line Between Love and Hate
Word Count: 100
Rating: Hard R
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Edward/Bella, Edward POV

Author's Notes: A balancing act between Edward’s two strongest instincts-lust and bloodlust, love and hate. Set post- Eclipse.
Sunlight filtered through the blinds, making my skin glitter in stripes. Bella’s body, pressed against mine, was warmer than the sun’s rays.
I entered her gently, careful not to lose control. But Bella had no such constraints, and as I thrust into her she raised her arms above her head, where they scraped against the cast-iron headboard.
“Oh,” she said, surprised to see a trickle of blood.
For once, my instincts for Bella’s body and her blood were one. My rhythm didn’t falter as I took her hand and licked the blood from her skin.
“Oh,” I gasped, and came.
Title: Almost, Doesn’t Count
Challenge: Almost Doesn’t Count

Author's Notes: The worst storms are the ones we could have predicted. Bella POV.
“I could see it,” he said, stepping into a puddle that never seemed to evaporate.
I wished it would rain. Any reason to escape standing here, saying goodbye.
“You would’ve been happy,” he continued, sneaking a look at me as we walked the length of my driveway. “I know I wasn’t your first choice, but I have staying power.”
He opened his car door and lingered a moment, and in the pause a deluge of possibilities existed, a storm hanging in the balance.
“I know.”
He closed the car door-on me and a future that could have happened, almost.
