Book Icon Challenge Meme

Jul 24, 2009 15:06

Create between 1 and 5 icons representing your favourite book[s] without using the title, (or well-known characters from the movie adaptation O.O). Post it/them to your journal* and see who can identify them! Quotes are allowed, of course, but you can be as inventive as you want!

*link them here too, we'd love to play!

Oooh, nice work. I have honestly next to no clue, but I'm going to give them a shot...

#1 is intriguing the hell out of me. It's either Beauty and the Beast, or something more obscure, and with imagery like that, who the hell could forget the title? And yet, I got nothing.

#2 Makes me giggle. Debbie Does Invisible Dallas (the novelisation)?

#3 reminds me of an Oscar Wilde short story (The Happy Prince? Or another one, and the title escapes me), but if you're going for novels, then Suskind's The Pigeon? Heh.

#4 Gormenghast? HP? Waah, too many castles in literature.

#5 My best guess is Macbeth (for a minute there, I was going to put 'The Red Right Hand' but, duh.

#1 is not Beauty and the Beast. The image itself doesn't have anything to do with the novel, it's the subject that does.

#2 Nope

#3 is indeed The Happy Prince.

#4 is Harry Potter. Yes, this was a bit silly of me.

#5 is Macbeth. : )
