Genre: Fantasy
# of pages: 293

Synopsis:
Meet the D'Artigo sisters: half-human, half-faerie, they're savvy-and sexy-operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But their mixed-blood heritage short-circuits their talents at all the wrong times. Delilah shapeshifts into a tabby cat whenever she's stressed. Menolly's a vampire who's still trying to get the hang of being undead. And Camille is a wicked-good witch, except her magic's as unpredictable as the weather, as her enemies are about to find out-the hard way.
At the Wayfarer Inn, a portal to Otherworld and the local hangout for humans and beasties alike, a fellow operative has been murdered. Every clue points to Shadow Wing, the soul-munching, badass leader of the Subterranean Realms. He's made it clear that he aims to raze humankind to the ground, turning both Earth and Otherworld into his private playgroundl. Our assignment: Keep Shadow Wing and his minions from creeping into Earth via the Wayfarer. The demons figure they're in like Flynn. After all, with only my bumbling sisters and me standing in the way, how can they miss? But we've got a secret for them: Faulty wiring or not, nobody kicks ass like the D'Artigo girls. . .
book_fairy rating: **1/2 (out of five stars) - I bought this book b/c I thought the cover was sexy. Seventy pages into it I still wasn't engaged and was complaining that the book sucked. It's a bad rip-off of the WB's Charmed with a world that was vague and confusing. Luckily it got more engaging later on, but that still wasn't enough to redeem it to a decent score. Since there's three sisters there will probably be three different books. Will I read the next one? Yeah, probably. Because when it comes down to it, it's about freaky chicks who kick ass and I just can't pass up a book like that. *sigh*
