License to Rub
It's official! While we were gone on vacation my massage license came though, so I'm now an officially registered health provider in Washington state. Don't believe me? You can look it up yourself at https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/providercredentialsearch/SearchCriteria.aspx. Just use the second option to enter my name and select "Massage Practitioner License" from the dropdown and voila! Believe me - I did this search no less than a hundred times in the eight weeks I waited for my name to show up. :-)
I even got a pretty little piece of paper to frame on my wall.
As soon as we move I'll get my city of Bellevue business license and will be able to work out of my home. Of course I'm planning on giving only to friends from home. Everyone else will have to see me at my new job (which I don't have yet, but will certainly let you know later).
On the plus side, I'm planning to offer a special deal through the end of August. A 90 min session for $50. And since the average price of massage in our area is $80/hour, this is a seriously good deal.
