I still live (kinda)
Well, things are - um - settled. Sorta. I'm currently posting from an interweb cafe as have no connection of my own, but I still live and have a roof over my head, so yays.
Long, complicated story, but I am currently still in my old abode, just with new roomates. Or, roomate singular. The landlord only moved in his university-bound son and I negotiated staying on as moving on with the old roomates fell through abruptly. Overall, this is a good thing, as now there are far fewer people and I actually have access to the kitchen. So yays.
On the other hand, I am still not permanent at the ever-so-frustrating job place. I'm back driving now (mostly) and running around being a general dogsbody between times. I have confirmed that a contract with my name on it does in fact exist, but is held up in limbo in the office of general manager/beancounter person.
And I just worked about 60 hours this week. Agh.
