Lief had been expecting to hide in the library until Jasmine figured out where he was, and then to... retire from the festivities early. Midsummer was a holiday suited to that, after all.
But somehow he'd gotten turned around, and the shelves had gone on for far too long - and this was plainly no longer a part of the palace library in Del. "Hello?" he called, cautiously, wishing for the first time that he could have worn a sword with all this useless royal finery.
