bunnies, bunnies it must be bunnies

I spent yesterday afternoon at work, supervising kids in a park attached to Dulwich Hill Primary School. It would have been a pleasant enough afternoon, except that the kids kept unearthing bits of death bunny. First there was a little fluffy tail, then several bits of hide - one as big as my hand, and lastly, and most pitifully, a leg. They were all found in different parts of the park, and each find was greeted with excitement, fascination, disgust or gravity, depending on the child. Some 5-7 year old kids were burying the leg in bark when I came across them, and one small kindergarten boy was carefully arranging sticks in a cross on top.

I was deeply thankful that the discoveries stopped after the leg. From what the kids have said, a feral fox is the likeliest perpetrator. Apparently some live in the railway embankment.
