And, if there's another musical soiree sometime, we should learn to sing 'The shape of thing properly in harmony (i.e. I should listen to the version you know and try to substitue it for my version :-P )

Yes, that would be awesome! I've been meaning to learn the harmony.

I comfort myself that the songs are more relevant in America than Australia. We at least have better gun laws and a standardised education system where crazy shit like this doesn't happen as easily. Some whitewashing of history is inevitable, especially when it's being retold to children, but this is chilling.
