December Dilemma?

Dec 01, 2009 16:50

This is something I grew up with, being Jewish in a mostly Christian country. It's something I haven't really had to think about, though, since for most of the kids' lives, we've lived in Israel.

But let's face it: this time of year, everything is pretty well inundated with Christmas. It's in the malls, the TVs, the stores, sometimes even in public (but don't tell the PC police!). If your family isn't Christian, how do you deal with? Or should you even bother, and just trust to your kids' good upbringing and sense of self? Have you ever had problems with the kids feeling "left out," and what did you tell them?
