Let's say, for the sake of argument, you have a 16 year old daughter. She wants her navel pierced, and has been begging for awhile. You relent, and take her to a piercing parlor (professional, at a tattoo/piercing shop). When you get there, your teen is surly, rude to you in the waiting room, and when her name is called, she snaps at you. After that, in the piercing room, as things are being set up, she is rude to the piercer, rude to you, and refuses to speak or answer questions.
She can get it pierced, but the piercer gets so fed up they refuse service, and asks you and your daughter to leave.
As a parent, would you:
A. Take the abuse and write it off as "being a teen", leave the shop to come back another day.
B. Apologize for the behavior (to the shop) and punish the child later, no piercing now.
C. Scream and yell at the piercer and the shop for refusing service to your little angel.
D. Other?
