Here is a hypothetical question. In the following dialogue pretend you are the mother and your child is the daughter.
Mother: Hey daughter, do you want to sit down and watch this movie with me?
12 year old girl: What is it?
Mother: It is a rated R film about gay cowboys who cheat on their wives.
12 year old girl: Why is it rated R?
Mother: Mild violence, language, and a sex scene.
12 year old girl: actually I think Id rather go chat with my friends. I don't like those kind of movies.
Mother: What kind of movies? Movies with gay cowboys? You are not a homophobe are you?
12 year old girl: Actually, I just feel uncomfortable around other people having sex...even when it is on television.
Now if you were the mother what would you say to this
A. Oh I see. Thanks for being honest...have fun chatting with your friends.
B. Are you sexually repressed or something? Maybe we should go to a psychologist.
C. Clearly you are homophobic...tomorrow I drop you off at foster care.
