Inspired by something someone said in an earlier thread today. This question applies to women with children who have working partners.

Would you rather be a SAHM with the inability to feed your children decent food because you simply can't afford it on one income (for example, feeding them ramen for dinner regularly) or a working mother who could give your children fresh vegetables, balanced meals, etc?

My answer in the comments.

EDIT: This isn't about the cost of daycare and whether or not working would actually cost you money, etc. It's a debate about if, when you are working, you take home enough money to provide decent food for your children. When you are working you do not. Which do you choose? Which is more important to you - staying home or providing healthy food?
