I go through their stash and pick out the good stuff. Then I toss the rest when they're not looking. It's a deliciously hypocritical way of solving the problem.
We don't keep candy/sugary sweets in my house. I'm not anti-sugar, but on a daily basis is unnecessary. I'm am a tad surprised how often my youngest comes home from school with a bag of crap but for the most part candy only tends to pile up at my house around the holidays.
Kaylan was having it sent home all the time too. A lot of it was from birthday parties in class. I wish more parents were like ME (cause I'm perfect mom) and put pencils and erasers in the treat bags.
Oh yeah? Well I only pack eco friendly recycled erasers and pencils that we make ourselves. I bet you pack yours in plastic bags too. We look down upon your kind.
