I've never seen an episode but at lot of their clips make it to "The Soup" which is a weekly recap show of all the trainwrecks on TV.

If you've never heard of toddler pageants you might be in for a bit of a shock!

Oh God.. There is something so very wrong with this concept. I just saw a trailer and there is this teeny, tiny little girl GYRATING... with her Mum showing her what to do!

Those better be some damn big cash prizes for demeaning your child like that.

It's really amazing what crap is put on TV isn't it? I've seen commercials for this show and a few other similar ones and cant believe how low these parents will go.

For even more fun, google "pageant photography" and look at what they do to the kids' headshots. They give them "doll eyes," which make them look freakish. Fake teeth, you name it.

That's the main thing I don't get. Children are already better-looking than the rest of us: the fresh, poreless skin! The perfect pink lips! Clear eyes! White teeth! What's to fix??

They're most likely not her eyes. Pageant retouchers often have a set of stock "doll eyes" that they photoshop onto kids' pictures. I'm not kidding. Check this out: http://digital-lifestyles.info/2007/08/03/retouching-service-turns-pageant-children-into-plastic-freakshows/
