Male Pregnancy, Worries and Excitement.

Mar 02, 2010 13:14

Hi, I'm new to the group but I wanted to get involved and meet people who are either planning to have a baby, expecting or already have them maybe. Basically my situation is a bit weird because legally I'm male but I was born in the wrong body, several years ago I realised that I was in the wrong body and since changing into a man I feel a lot ( ... )

i think all the things you do have to endure while having a baby are in the end worth it because you want that child and find them worth going through all the "joys" of pregnancy.

why don't you try contacting that thomas beattie guy. he'd have a far better understanding of what it's like and what you'll be faced with.

other then dealing with being a male that is pregnant (huge thing i'll admit) the rest of your terrifying list is truly nothing.

Good ideas.... don't know how I'd get in touch with Thomas Beattie, presumably he's got people getting in touch regularly for interviews and to poke him with sticks and things.

I'll look into it anyway, I mean, he's on his third kid so I guess there must be something enjoyable about it, surely.

Ahh..hmmm... Well, congrats first one moving through your life goals and meeting your final one and becoming recognized as a man. Sure, things would have been easier if you had been born a male, but then you would never have gotten the chance to carry a child so perhaps there was a reason to you being born female and knowing that you'd find your true way soon. And it's early for me so this might not all make sense..

As for all the pregnancy woes... Well, it's just part of it and you might not even have many of the symptoms, but then again it might be hard on you. Male pregnancy clothes? I so wish I could design, because I'd definitely have some things going. I myself didn't wear many pregnancy clothes while I was pregnant but I would steal my husbands shirts and jogging pants, anything with elastic in the waistband.

I hope it all works out for you.

I think you would probably get your baby a lot faster if you carried it than if you went through the complicated adoption or surrogacy procedures. The symptoms of pregnancy may be minimal, like they are for some people, and they'll probably fade away from memory once the baby arrives.
