just another boy.
he heard a loud bang and saw smokes everywhere. one of his eye can barely open, vision blocked by the dried blood that clustered around his forehead and eyebrow. doojoon gripped his gun a little tighter, his eardrums ringing and buzzing and he thinks he might be going deaf after all of this. doojoon could just barely hear junhyung's shouts in the midst of the blurring chaos, and he's a little relief that his friend is still alive enough to be shouting. he felt his legs going numb and toes stucked in his wet leather boots and the smell of sweat and blood and violence filled his nostrils, choking him little by little.
in the back of his mind, doojoon thought about the things he'll do when he gets out of this mess, like buying sohyun that doll house she had always wanted, or telling yoseob to stop being so scared and just fill out his audition form already, or making sure kikwang doesn't try to sneak into the kitchen again when he's cooking because he really likes the new tiles and he doesn't really want to have another food explosion to ruin them.
suddenly doojoon felt a small push against his chest that made him stumbled a little. doojoon looked down and saw crimson reds immersing his uniform and a small hole to his chest and just that little throbbing, paralyzing pain that made his blood ran cold and face paled, and suddenly everything is spinning and doojoon felt his back against the cold gray stones and his visions are blurred and all he could see was the dark, dark gray sky. his hands clutched on his uniform and his breaths became heavier and heavier and he feels like he's asphyxiated and for the first time in doojoon's life, he's a little scared.
who's going to play afternoon tea with sohyun so she won't go around sulking? who's going to practice singing with yoseob so he can be prepared and chase after his dream? who's going to help kikwang clean up because he'll always end up destroying some parts of the house? who's going to spoil sohyun and make sure she's the only princess in the world? who's going to comfort yoseob when he's secretly crying and give him a big hug and gentle kiss on the forehead? who's going to hold kikwang's hands and make sure that he doesn't go running into the streets because kikwang can be easily distracted by the simplest things? who's going to make sure they don't fight because sohyun's scratches are deadly, yoseob's bites are killing, and kikwang's punches are painful? who's going to do all the chores in the house and make sure that they finish their meal before having desserts? who's going to make sure that they all go to bed on time and who's going to wake them up? who's going to be there and take care of kikwang, sohyun, and yoseob? who's going to-
