yongguk was born and raised in planet b124ap224. ever since he could remember, his mother had always told him that destiny had made him different, that he'll one day grow up and make them proud.
so yongguk smiled happily because he's different, because he will grow up and make his family proud.

military school was hard. but destiny told yongguk he was different. destiny told yongguk he was born to be different. so yongguk worked hard, he worked hard and he doesn't give up.

yongguk graduated military school with flying colors.

he met kim himchan, the general's son during special training. kim himchan doesn't go to military schools, but as the general's son, he learned many military tactics through general kim. it's the first time yongguk met someone that's the same age as him, so he's a little happy.
"anyo." himchan shook his hand, and he smiled, the kind of smile that makes you feel butterflies in your stomach, but then you also kind of want to punch him in the face.
but yongguk's mother always told him to have manners, so maybe he squeezed himchan's hand a little too hard, but that's better than a punch anyways.

himchan likes to hang around yongguk. he said that its beacuse they're the same age, but yongguk doesn't point out that himchan's always blushing and he's ears are always a little redder when yongguk turned to look at him, because maybe yongguk's heart also beats a little faster when he sees himchan smiling his stupid smile.

their first kiss was awkward. they were in training and while they hideout behind the large tree log, himchan brushed his cheeks against yongguk and they both stopped for a moment. yongguk doesn't really remember anything, he probably brushed his lips against himchan's, or maybe he had deepened the kiss just a little, in the end, he only remembered himchan's bright, flustered face and even brighter eyes.

they said the war may go on for at least five years. yongguk doesn't really know what to do. he doesn't want to wait, he also doesn't want to lose himchan. but destiny said yongguk would be different, destiny said yongguk would grow up and make his family proud.
his parents told him to say goodbye.
if only it was that easy.

sometimes yongguk looks back on his life and he wonders if there are things he should have done differently. maybe there are things that he regrets. maybe there are things that he despises. it’s funny but it’s also a little sad. right now yongguk thinks maybe he shouldn’t have left that door, maybe he shouldn’t have make him cry, because when people say your life flashes across your eyes when you die, yongguk wasn’t expecting to see himchan’s face, crying for him to come back.
in the end, what's the point of being the greatest warrior, when everything you love fades away.
