Alright, so for birthday update. Wake up at 9 to a call from a florist asking when I'll be there-- I tell them between 11 and 1. So I got to class (blah, but at least I only had one and now classes are OVERRR) and come back and get a call asking me again when I'll be in my room so I say from right then til 1. Then another call that someones at the mailboxes in front of my dorm, so I go down and get this awesome balloon bouquet from the padres!! Too cool! Then I get another call that the florist is down in Bonnycastle Circle, so I'm like what? I already got my delivery-- but Ann and Wayne had sent me flowers! Again, yay for family love. OH yeah, and when I checked my mailbox after class I had cards from Grandma and Caroline :-)
Alright, so group project meeting at 2-- cranked our paper out in about an hour. Got back to my room and chilled until around 6 when Liz came by and we went to get my car to head over to Ruby Tuesday's for my b-day din din! It was cool to unite my suities and G-Phi loves, even though there was def a distinct split between tables. Oh well, I had so much fun sharing my b-day with all my faves (minus M14's of course!). So yeah, we had good food and they gave me some presents. Ha, you would swear I was turning 21 because I got 9 shot glasses!! For reals people! But 6 of them were in this one cool set Tess gave me that are like these really classy looking ones that are sort of tapered with different colors at the bottom. I may or may not have eaten a chocolate tallcake on my own ;-). Hehe-- note to self, go to the gym tomorrow.
Came back from that and dropped my presents off in my room then went over to Gooch to begin my gradual corruption of the suities. Everyone took a shot, which was hillar. Ann and I had 2, but seeing Whit, Danielle, Tess, and Karli do it was AWESOME! I tell ya-- I'm working them up to it but last day fourth year = drunkenness and streaking the lawn! THat's not saying I won't have done it before then, but I doubt they will have.
Anywho, then got back here around 10 and one of my residents had come by earlier in the day saying she was gonna need to talk to me and asked when i'd be back that night, so I Imed her to tell her I'd be around the rest of the night. So I'm chillin in my room puttin stuff away and I hear people singing happy birthday and I turn around and in walk some of the resies with a death by chocolate Arch's pie AND like 4 servings worth of gooey brownies for the side!!! OMG!! this was awesome because a) i pretty much never get cool birthday surpirses and have always wanted one and 2) it makes me happy that my resies actually like me (which sounds lame, but you know it can be easy for the RA to be like the random mean person none of the resies like). OK, so we all had Arch's pie which was delish but put me over the edge in terms of stuffed-ness because, well, it was a lot of food. But yeah that was really sweet! They also got me 2 gift certificates for $25 each, one to Arch's and one to Mellow Mushroom. Hott, two out of three of my favorite Corner establishments :-) My girls are so awesome. I heart them.
Also, Haines successfully completed her email to me and I received it just in time for it to still count as on my b-day!! WOO!
Also there were tons of facebook messages and IM's throughout the day (the IM's you can see, obvi.) Oh man, can it be break please?! A week from right now I'll just be chillin-- but alas for now I freak out about upcoming exams. At least I did an excellent job of shirking responsibilities on my actual b-day :-D
