i went to visit Gellis & Gida back in NOLA/ Axemoor this weekend and had a great time. they had some friends come down from Jackson, MI, and the lot of us played Rock Band, which is always fun, and then Gellis and BJ pretty much convinced me to trade in my Wii for an Xbox and the Kinnect extension there-to. the advantages are no little pad that doesn't work real well with a wider stance - or a heavier person - and no remote you might accidentally throw thru the tv screen. lack of being able to weigh myself is kind of eh, but that's why ghu invented scales.
in addition to the work-out stuff, though, i can get Red, Dead, Redemption, which
slavelabour insists i'll love, heh.
the other reason to go to Gellis's was to check on my comp, because the dork never emailed me where he was with it! ;) i love Gellis, but... anyway, house of Gellis has been chaos, which i half-suspected, and nothing yet. that's ok, though, since I figured that could be the case.
i'm going to (Axemoor) baronial championships this weekend, and need to find an Asian/oriental cole-slaw recipe to take. the one Gida had in mind was best made up on site, she said, and no baking or stove-work, just mixing. best kind of cooking, hardest to screw up.
i'll be going to Gulf Wars this year, as well, but i'm going to day-trip it from a hotel in slidell. i need to make hotel reservations and war registration.
other things that happened this weekend: spent a lot of $$ on t-shirts, because i need new ones. and then i made a
wish-list that totals up to a billion dollars, if i'm adding it up right. ;) i went to JC Penny's (online) and got this
cami - that is, i like it so much i got one in almost every color, heh. i skipped the passion pink and strawberry, because those shades don't look so good on me.
piece of business 2 at Gellis and Gida's house was wrapping up what to get them for Christmas. it's a little late, but... at any rate, i'm going to end up getting them some exotic meats at
Grand Meats, when I order mine. i love this place. i can get elk, buffalo, deer, goat, and it doesn't have extra fat or hormones and i don't have to worry about the weird shit that gets into the processes in the big slaughterhouses and stuff. it's expensive, to be sure, but worth it to me to know exactly what i'm getting.
also, i need to find my car title. it's in one of my bill folders, neatly filed away where i can't find it...
and that's the state of the boogie today.
