I was writing
I was writing to a friend about the movie "The Transcendent Man," a movie about Ray Kurzweil and his theories for, among other things, improving our potential through the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence to augment our minds.
Unfortunately when I typed my email, I wrote "The Transcendental Man."
I think it's ironic that relying on the software for spell-checking to assist me in my thinking, caused me to screw up the title of this movie.
I missed the movie, which was playing right down the damn street from me, but I've been meaning to read his books, and this frustration reminds me to acquire them. I've long been interested in the idea of the technological singularity, but have been too preoccupied with things like food and shelter to pursue it.
