I had the best weekend, I won't lie. Seeing the Albino One. Hanging with Rockstars. Helping my family. Watching 10 episodes of Good Eats.
Here's the round up, in easily digestable clicks for LJ users. RSS reader peeps get to do lot's of scrolling:

Friday:
Jimmy C and I had a meeting at the Globe and then lunch, by the time we got done and back to congress st., it was 3pm, and I wasn't paying to park for 90 minutes. So I dropped him and headed home. After some stomache issues, I managed to get a haircut (damn I look good), my taxes done (1800 coming back, I end up with 400 to actually play with), and then in town for some drinks with peeps, including the much-elusive Albino One.
Driving Tom and Jason back to the N. Shore was a fun trip, with a quick stop off at Loews so Tom could do some work... drunk. Bed 2am.

Saturday:
Woke up, started cleaning and mangling together computer parts to put a "new" system together for my Aunt & Uncle, as well as move my system to its new, sweet, black case (Because, as we all know, black cases make the computer faster). It was an industrious day, and then at night I headed in town to the Paradise, my favourite venue.
Case Desmond was headlining, and I'd wanted to check her out live since finding her on myspace. Even better, though, was that I ended up going alone, and, as such, looked pathetic enough for her and her friends to come sit with me until her performance at 11:30. During the evening, I even got
my picture taken by a rock star. We talked for a while, I met some of the guys in
Scamper, discussed music of all types, and her music career.
Interesting Aside: She's been written up in the Globe 3 times. Hrmph. You'd think I guy who works for them might have noticed, but no.
The evening's performances ranged from spirited to playful, amazing to meh. But it was a wonderful night and I just can't gush enough about how great things, even loneliness, seem to work out. Bed at 2am.

Sunday:
I really started cleaning and vacuuming hardcore. All my machines were in cases, and while the vacuum was whirring away, I was installing some windows on a box for the Aunt and Uncle (So's I could bring it over later in the day). I listened through my new music by Scamper and Casey Desmond, and enjoyed myself.
In the afternoon, I brought over the new computer and visited in. Whilst there, I got more details on the Benefit for Baker concert. Baker being my cousin's band. That info will be at the end of this post.
Sunday was a rather lazy day, and I ended up asleep by 8:30. Two night up til 2 am and then waking by 7am killed me.

Monday
Truly an even lazier day, but I did manage to throw out 2 bags of garbage and watch 10 episodes of Good Eats AND get 30 minutes on the bike in place.
Mom started "working" yesterday, which actually consisted of me doing 45 minutes of computer tech support because her laptop is drunk, and then, of course, she did have the 2 hour conference call.
All in all, a good relaxation day. Bed 10:30.
Info on the Benefit for Baker:
If you're unaware, my Cousin,
Steve and his band
Baker had their equipment stolen after a gig in NYC. Thousands of dollars worth of equipment, some of it irreplaceable due to emotional value.
There is a benefit show, March 7th, starting at 9 (doors at 8) at
T. T. the Bear's. TT's has even permitted them to keep 100% of cover charge, so Warm Bodies are a must. If you have the night free, please consider helping out some family of mine. The music is good, and, hey, i'll be there, so you can see me.
If you want to help but can't make it, they are selling the 4-track EP "Happy Birthday" for $10. Let me know, and I'll hook you up.
