36 icons [yugioh!]

Jan 30, 2015 00:06

I made icons! For anime20in20, round 59. I kind of decided to on a whim because I was feeling creative and very yugioh, so here they are. I definitely do not have a character or ship bias. At all.

Guh! These are all so gorgeous. 50% has the most lovely tone and color, and both ac. 1 and ac. 2 give me very strong, visceral reactions. Ac. 1 makes me feel warm and nostalgic, with a focus on the deep friendship between Yugi and Yami, and ac. 2 is just stunning, and probably my favorite of the whole set. I like how Yami's face is recognizable, but still more obscured than Yugi's face, which is very true to his own character arc, what with Yami's own past being a mystery to him for so long, and Yugi's being more visible. Also, the dark purple color is divine, allowing such a good sense of intensity. The two characters are in a resting post, yes, but it very much looks like they've either just stopped doing something of immense importance, or are about to start.

Also, the polka dot icons are expertly crafted. Well done, you! They're a lot of fun to look at. :)

*enthusiastically snags ac. 2* Will credit if used. Thank you for sharing!!

what a wonderful comment!! thank you so much for you feedback, it's very much appreciated, i promise you that. the AC's were the most fun for me to do -- i have these beautiful paint-like textures and when you overlay them and such over softer colors, they make everything a little more whimsical.
