How 'bout it, America? Puppies.

This is going to be my Tony's entry, but it's not on for another 4 hours and I needed to just go wtf? I was looking at the Porn Battle prompts and I was just wondering how there was no CJ/Abbey (or Abbey/anyone, for that matter) and yet this is on the list: "Wesley Wyndham-Pryce/adult!Huck Wyatt-Ziegler." While that pairing is a little odd, I am in full support of these ones: "Laura Roslin/CJ Cregg," "Lisa Cuddy/Addison Montgomery," "Nina Van Horn/Karen Walker." Okay, that's enough of that. Now I shall set this aside until the Tony's come on.

Just got back from my parents where my dad was supposed to fix my headlight that had burned out. I went to Carquest on Wednesday and got a new lowbeam light and my dad tried for almost an hour to change it. Then my mom said "This bulb is different. The old one has two prongs and the new one has one." So I took it back to Carquest yesterday and got the one with one prong. Took it over again today for him to change it and as it turns out, my dad was trying to change the highbeam on Wednesday when he should have been changing the lowbeam. So I had the right lightbulb to start off with. And obviously the car place isn't open now so I have to wait until tomorrow to get it fixed. Ugh. I hate cars.

Tony's are almost on. Uhm...this probably shouldn't be as funny as I'm finding it, but is anyone else watching the end of 60 Minutes? A moment with Andy Rooney, or whatever it's called. He's just talking about all these cluttered papers around his office and how he can't remember anything. Why is this on TV? It's just like sad grandpa can't-re-memoirs. Anyway, on with the show...

Aww, microphone fail. Boo. Some of these don't really need hearts in front of them, but hearts are more fun than a bullet point, so hearts it will be :)

♥♥♥STOCKARD!!! AND AARON! DUET FOR THE WIN!!!
♥DOLLY! Aww, they had a superlong close-up on Allison (& Tory). Actually, their portion of the opening number wasn't all that great. It seemed to kind of lack power and it just ended randomly. I loved how they linked "Luck Be A Lady" and "Tonight," and "Bewitched..." and "I'm Alive."
♥ I'm going to see Poison in a month :D
♥This is so freaking awesome! I love that they're all singing Let The Sun Shine In!!!!
♥Neil Patrick Harris is quite possibly the most adorable man who ever lived.
♥I really do not see the appeal of Shrek the Musical. I mean, I *love* Brian, Sutton & Christopher, but... just no. "So movies make good musical?!" "Well... they make musicals..."
Is the Defying Gravity ending normally in that number or was that just for the Tony's? Also, is Brian d'Arcy James planning on spending the rest of the show in the Shrek costume? Why didn't they just stay backstage to change?
♥Aww, Allison is sitting near BeBe :)
♥N2N!!!! YAY!!! Aww...cut-off for the lose :(
♥Okay, so I love Amy Spanger, and Rock of Ages actually looks pretty good, but... I really like the cast of Glee's performance of this song MUCH better.
♥Aww...Liza. You always make me smile lol
♥Microphone-fail again. I was really hoping Lauren Graham would be in the musical number.
♥I was really hoping Jennifer Damiano would win or at least perform. She has one of the best voices on Broadway.
♥Is that Major Dad?
♥I love it when people win their first of a certain award. And I love Marcia Gay Harden. And I love that she cleared up my confusion when I was like, "I totally thought *that* was Janet McTeer...?"
♥Can someone please explain to me why the musical number for Billy Elliot featured absolutely no singing? Just a small child screaming and having a tantrum and saying "Screw you!" It could be me, but I also don't really get the appeal of Billy Elliot. I will admit, as with Shrek, I have not seen the whole musical, so I really can't make a fully informed opinion. Based on what I have seen, though, I have no desire to actually see the whole musicals.
♥Gina Gershon and John Stamos...hmm... I don't really have an urge to see Bye Bye Birdie (even though I often end up with its songs stuck in my head) but those two are quite a draw.
♥That was fun! Although I imagine it would be kinda awkward for the people looking up at crotch lol.
♥ Aww, Cheno. Always poking fun at your own love life. Maybe if you'd settle yourself down with a decent woman you would be happy...lol. I would like to take this moment to comment on the fact that Pal Joey didn't get a chance to perform a song outside of the opening number. I would also like to take this moment to say, having listened to the entire performance of Pal Joey, I completely understand why. Stockard Channing was pretty much the only interesting part of that show. Not to discredit the other actors in it, I just thought it was so completely dull. But I still feel it should have been given an opportunity to perform, if only for more Stockard.
♥♥♥ALICE RIPLEY YOU ARE FIERCE!!! Sadface for Allison & Stockard, though. And was it just me, or did Sutton seem really pissed off when they panned to her after Alice's acceptance speech? She had this very tight-lipped look on her face. It could possibly be because they panned to her after Alice said she'd been thanking people all week, which I guess could be interpreted as her believing she'd already won and therefore discrediting the other nominees as legitimate threats. But whatever. I really love her :)
♥Surprise? Anyone? I thought Liza's "YAY ELTON!!" was adorable, though. I also liked Elton's genuine comment to the people from Next to Normal.
♥♥♥Neil Patrick Harris... I can't even. You are so pretty and witty and gay! I'm kicking myself because I forgot to pause recording during the commercial, so when it came back from commercial, I hit the button and it paused recording and I didn't notice it until the "stop record" message came up in the middle of Neil's 11 o'clock number. Sadface. Plus, the Live Thank-You cam started playing Alice Ripley during his song, so I had my attention focused elsewhere. Oh well, it should be online somewhere in the next few days hours, apparently.

Well, that was definitely worth the wait, even if Billy Elliot did win almost everything it was nominated for. And if my two West Wing lady loves had to lose to someone, I am so glad that it was to the lovely Alice Ripley (who looked stunning in her cobalt blue). It's okay, Allison; she got the Tony, but you dominate the world.
