rant
alright, so this probably won't make sense to any of you, but let's try-
i live in "community" with other volunteers. in houston there are 4 of us: rachel (me), mike, sara and anne.
well at the end of the year we have "disorientation"- a kind of wrap up for the year, and a feew volunteers each year don't go. Like, Anne isn't going because she's going to law school in a couple weeks and needs a little break in between.
Sara is also not planning on going. Because she needs those three days- Thurs afternnon- Sunday Noon, to fouc on the job search and apartment search. yeah... I tihnk it's because she's realized she's annoying and has no friends. I mean, I'm annoying but I have 4 friends who are looking forward to seeing me there. I just think it's lame and a shirking of the commitment. BEcause how many weekends in May, June or July did she do any job searching or looking at aparments? grr... i dont know why it bothers me so much.
