Don't be disheartened Frank Iero fans. Even though our beloved pocket-sized punk has been relegated the role of The Cousin who will eventually inherit Longbourn, he is nothing at all like the Mr Collins in the novel. He is definitely not odious in the least. As for Gerard, he is certainly not sickly and pathetic at all like Anne in the book. The writers did well to create their own storylines in some areas (such as what they did with the Mr Collins character), and while most of it follows the traditional Pride & Prejudice plot, there are enough differences to give you some pleasant surprises.
Read it. It's spectacular. And unlike the actual Pride & Prejudice, we got delicious teasing and hot sex. Oh yeah. These girls kick arse.
