I was going to post another long and ranty whinge about the completely clueless way that the education system in this country is abused by self-serving target-mongers who believe that they know what they're doing and couldn't care less if they're wrong...but instead I'll just point out that I believe that there will be very few trained, experienced and caring professionals left in schools in this country in 5 years' time. I'm unlikely to be one of the few.

I feel I should also link to something else. Front page news only in the TES. How fucking typical.
