Useless f***ing paperwork

Jan 30, 2006 16:43

I am sick of being asked to jump through hoops (and my school is hardly the worst culprit - we do the least that we can and keep it as relevant as possible) and fill in ridiculous forms that benefit no-one; not teachers or kids. I really hope I am just having a bad day. Resignation is beginning to sound *seriously* appealing right now.

While I can't exactly sympathise from personal experience, I know from all the hell my Mum's been through that you're nowhere near alone on this one. I scream with and for you.

You do a bloody amazing job, which I for one definitely couldn't do, and it's ridiculous that you should be expected to be a bureaucrat as well!

A bureaucrat wields the power of the red tape over others. This sounds more like being a bureaucrat's slave!

Thanks! I try not to complain too much about teaching as a career because I chose it knowing it would be difficult and sometimes a bloody pain in the arse. However, I just walked (late - had another meeting) into a staff meeting to be faced with the reality of half a dozen new things that I will need to get my head around and sort asap.

My mood is considerably improved. I feel much more chilled and this is the result of:
Heather
Simon
Venting aggravation
Pizza
Firefly
Rammstein
Metallica
Karate
plus my sensai was both very funny and amazingly useful this evening.

But I'm always happy to find large hills...though possibly not after ceilidh, batfink and corp :D

This is why I suggested Saturday: that way it's only after Batfink and ceilidh, neither of which are particularly crippling the day after (assuming my dancing muscles are still in shape).

Well, as long as there's no head-banging involved in the ceilidh you should be fine :p

I'll remember to avoid that :P
