Signing up for the gym was one of the best decision that I've made since Tiffany necklace. I spend half of my workout time reading the "Fortune" and absorbing the real world. I was reading an article on risk management today since it has became the hottest topic after Katrina swept New Orleans. I had to admit that all my MBA classes have enhance my understanding in crazy business terms like "capital and value creation". The article talked about the amount of dollars that we've lost because of the disaster; it admitted the this is caused by the ignorance of the certain government officials and the damage could've been controlled. Most of the estimates were done for the facilities, buildings, businesses and etc. there wasn't any mention of price on human lives that were lost, families that were broken, or memories that were taken. I guess we have been tagged for a $$$ amount and put through some formula. How much is a human life worth????
